relaxation technique

When someone or something has made your feel angry, upset, tense, frustrated or panic-stricken, use this quick relaxation technique to help you.


Stop for a moment and say to yourself “relax”, breathe in through your nose and as you slowly exhale, allow your shoulders and hands to relax. Inhale again and as you slowly breathe out allow the face to relax. Notice as your muscles relax your stress will lessen.

Allow a few quiet seconds to gain control, normal breaths in and long, slow, smooth breaths out, and then continue whatever your were doing calmly.
