Ayurvedic Facial Massage

This truly holistic treatment works primarily on the pressure/marma points of the face. Pressure points are vital energy points similar to acupressure used in Chinese medicine. In Ayurveda, it is said that the “life force” is located in the head.

By balancing the energy within these vital points, it will promote health at all levels within the body. The stimulation of pressure points in the head is said to stimulate the hypothalamus, pituitary and other areas of the brain to promote healing to be relayed to various parts of the body.

Marma points are an integral part of Ayurveda and are the subtle pressure points, similar to points used in acupressure, that stimulate the life force or pranic flow. The mamas are anatomical places on the body, mostly composed of flesh and bones.

This treatment involves using pressure points on the back, neck, face and scalp and includes an optional deep cleansing facial mask. Not to be confused with a beauty facial.
