This is a nurturing and supportive group which is beneficial to mothers and their young babies from six weeks up to crawling age. These classes encourage meaningful interaction and bonding with your baby and are a great way to meet other new mums.
Each class includes:
Simple massage strokes to help soothe and comfort your baby and support their growing body.
Gentle yoga based postnatal exercises
To restore strength and tone to your body and help relieve aches and tension. The poses can be done either with your baby or with baby close to you.
Relaxation and breathing
Breastfeeding / feeding support
There is also plenty of time to either chat or discuss common issues such as sleeping; weaning; postnatal depression; transition into motherhood; family dynamics and where the day goes!
This is a relaxed and informal class so don’t worry if your baby needs to feed or sleep during the yoga / baby massage. Take time out with your baby when you need to and join back in when you‘re ready. Please bring a cushion or pillow, and a blanket and wear loose comfortable clothes. It is also preferable to have short nails for the baby massage.
Wessex Health Network, Christchurch – Tuesday 11 am – 12.30 pm during term times
Cost: £48 for a 6 week half term / £40 for a 5 week half term. If you start part way through the term due to baby’s age the amount is reduced and you only pay from when you start.
Please contact Rosa Davies for dates of forthcoming classes.
